Commissions

Do you have an image in your head of a nostalgic place that perhaps evokes childhood memories or very special times in your life? I've done a number of commissions where people have wanted specific ideas included in their bespoke paintings, such as a beloved pet placed with a certain landmark, or a stretch of the Cornish coast that reminds them of their favourite walks. Why not talk to me about commissioning a painting that you can really call your own?

Prints on beautiful quality German etching paper are available to order and start from £45 for approx A3 size.
Canvas prints mounted on wooden frames also available on request, with prices from £75 for approx A3 size.

"Open Studios Cornwall 2024" - (EVENT NOW ENDED)

This is the first time that I will be taking part in this annual, countywide art event, when you will be able to visit my home studio and see some of my work firsthand.
I promise no 'sales pitch'!... (although 10% of any sales will go to a local Charity - CHC). You are welcome to just come and say hello and browse.Opening Days (all from 11.00am - 3.pm):

About

I am a Cornish maid, (nee Ryan) and grew up on the family farm at Trelissick in Hayle. I went to school in Penzance and have lived and worked in Truro for over 30 years. I only took up art seriously in recent years after my artist sister, Margret Ryan, sadly passed away and left her studio full of art equipment just waiting to be put to good use.

Since picking up the paint brush, my new found love of art has really taken off and after deciding to take early retirement in the autumn of 2019, I then used this ‘unexpected’ new talent during the Covid pandemic to sell paintings, prints and cards to help raise money for local charities, in particular for Cornwall Hospices Care.
My painting journey started off with sketching, watercolour and pen, then I moved onto to acrylics, oils and other media. I am now lucky enough to be regularly undertaking commissions and although I’ll have a go at painting any subject, my heart lies in the power of the sea, stunning Cornish sunsets, local landscapes, and the beauty of light in nature.
